Three in court after teenager and man ‘assaulted’

Two 17-year-old boys and a man charged in connection with Falkirk incidents on Saturday night.

Three people have appeared in court after a teenager and a man were allegedly attacked in separate incidents in the same street.

The first incident happened in Grahams Road, Falkirk, at around 7.15pm on Saturday when a 16-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted by four men.

A short time later, a 51-year-old man was subjected to an alleged assault in the same street.

Police said two 17-year-old boys and a man have been arrested in connection with the incidents.

They all appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday but made no plea.

Zain Ahmed, 21, or Glasgow was charged with assault, assault to injury and severe injury.

The first 17-year-old was charged with assault to injury, possessing an offensive weapon and vandalism.

The other teenager was charged with assault to injury and severe injury, possessing an offensive weapon and vandalism.

He was remanded in custody and will re-appear within eight days.

Police said inquiries are continuing to trace a fourth man, who is described as being of Asian appearance, aged 21 to 40, 5ft 9in, and wearing dark clothing.
