Scotland has recorded two coronavirus deaths and 215 new cases in the past 24 hours, the latest Scottish Government figures show.
It brings the death toll under this daily measure – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days – to 7664.
However Public Health Scotland have been made aware of a potential data issue impacting the flow of tests from testing sites.
As a result, statistics are lower than expected and missing data will be reported on Saturday.
A total of 228,908 people have tested positive for the virus and the daily test positivity rate is 1.3%, up from 1.2% the previous day.
A total of 64 people were in hospital on Wednesday with recently confirmed Covid-19, with three patients in intensive care.
So far, 2,985,557 people have received the first dose of a Covid-19 vaccination and 1,575,765 have received their second dose.
