Two Scottish men with gang links have died following a shooting at a bar in Spain.
STV News understands that they are Ross Monaghan, who was previously linked to a high-profile gang-related murder, and Eddie Lyons Jr.
Monaghan was acquitted of the murder of Kevin “Gerbil” Carroll in 2010 after the judge at his 2012 trial ruled there was insufficient evidence.
Eddie Lyons Jr had previously been shot in 2006, in an incident that was believed to be part of a gang feud.

Local media reported that a masked man pulled up outside Monaghans Irish Bar in Fuengirola, in the Malaga province, in Andalusia, at around 11pm and fired multiple shots.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
Eye witness Siobhan Duffy, from Dublin, said: “I was sitting in an Argentinian restaurant with my sister and we saw a bit of commotion.
“Three people ran past the restaurant, a young lad and two girls, then we saw the police over on the beach.
“When we saw all the police and ambulances coming, we had no idea what was happening. We thought maybe someone had a heart attack or something. We had no idea there had been a shooting or anything like that.
“We never actually knew what had happened until my son sent me the story from an Irish paper this morning on WhatsApp, because he knew I was over here.”
Police Scotland told STV News the Spanish authorities were leading the investigation and it was unable to comment on any potential links to a recent gang war in Scotland.
A feud between the Lyons and the Daniels organised crime groups has been ongoing for decades and has resulted in numerous violent incidents.
Monaghan was shot in the back after dropping his child off at a primary school in Glasgow in 2017.
The bar is located in a holiday destination and is popular with tourists.
The Diario Sur newspaper, which covers the region, reported that the authorities have mobilised a specialist violent crime unit to investigate the incident.
