Schools across Scotland have closed on Tuesday in the first of three days of strike action.
Janitors, cleaners and support workers are among those taking part in the walkouts.
A new pay offer was tabled by Scotland’s local council body COSLA on Thursday, September 21.
But it was rejected by the largest union, Unison, which described it as “too little, too late”.
Two other unions – Unite and GMB – suspended the strikes while they consult members, recommending accepting the latest offer.
