Parts of Scotland have woken up to a white Christmas.
STV meteorologist Sean Batty confirmed areas in Aberdeenshire as the first spots to record a snowy Noel with light snowfall in Aboyne around 2am.
Braemar had its white Christmas confirmed shortly before 6am.
Shetland, as Sean predicted, has also woken to a dusting of the stuff.
Aboyne in Aberdeenshire and Strathallan in Perthshire also had snowfall overnight.
The Met Office confirmed sleet over the Pennines.
More snow is forecast for later in the day in the southern Highlands.
Sean explained that a white Christmas can only be confirmed when you get snowfall, meaning 1995 and 2004 are the last two Scotland has had.
In the central belt, there was only around a 12% chance of seeing snowfall on the ground, as STV meteorologist Sean Batty explained.
A weather warning for snow and strong winds has been issued for Boxing Day across parts of Scotland.
The Met Office said to expect some roads and railways to be affected causing longer journey times.
Electricity and others services could also be affected, with temporary power cuts possible.
Areas of West Dunbartonshire, Stirling, Perth and Kinross, Dumfries and Galloway, the Borders, South and East Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire and the Lothians are due to be affected from just after midnight until midday on December 26.
