The Scottish Influencer Awards has confirmed a shortlist of 65 nominees across 15 categories including beauty, travel, inspiration and sport.

Nominated in the sport category is Zander Murray, who made history as the first male Scottish senior player to come out as gay, just weeks after announcing his retirement at the end of the season.

She is nominated alongside photographer and dancer, Dylan Lombard, who’s work aims to raise awards for people living with MDP syndrome.

Lombard, known as @be_yourself_dylan to his 400k followers, has become a champion of UK charity Changing Faces which supports those living with facial or body differences.

Finlay Thomas, know as The Kilted Yogi, has been nominated in the “Health and Wellness” category for sharing yoga experiences with his quarter of a million followers.

The awards are set to take place on Sunday, March 3, with some of Scotland’s biggest social media stars set to walk down the red carpet.

Founder of the awards, Mary McGowne, said she was “delighted” to be bringing them back to Glasgow after first launching them in 2022.

ā€œThis 2024 shortlist represents the very best of Scotlandā€™s social media landscape; those who are influencing with integrity,” she said.

ā€œAcross every category the talent pool is far-reaching in depth and appeal. Taken as a whole, it is an exceptionally strong cross section of the countryā€™s most informed, respected and popular names in the social media stratosphere.

ā€œThis yearā€™s awards ceremony promises to be a remarkable occasion when Scotlandā€™s stars of social once again meet in person in a way that is refreshingly inclusive and wholly positive.”
