Police in Yorkshire are trying to find the Scottish relatives of a woman found dead in Scarborough.
An appeal has been launched following the death of Patricia Woodhouse after officers were unable to locate her family.
North Yorkshire Police believe the 77-year-old may have relatives living in Scotland.
Investigators are not treating her death as suspicious.
A statement from police read: “Some sad news but we’re hoping someone may know this woman’s family.
“The Coroner’s Office have asked for our help to locate the next of kin of a Mrs Patricia Woodgate.
“Patricia, who was aged 77 was sadly found dead in Scarborough. Her death is not thought to be suspicious.
We believe she may have relatives in Scotland.
“If you have any information that would help the Coroner to locate any members of Patricia’s family please email coroner@northyorkshire.police.uk.”
