Liel Abada starts for Celtic after manager Ange Postecoglou named the team for his first competitive match in charge.

Celtic are facing Midtjylland in the first leg of their Champions League second qualifying round tie at Celtic Park on Tuesday night.

Postecoglou has opted to start Abada in the crucial match, having previously suggested the new signing, who joined the club last week, would need more time before being ready to join the team. The Israeli 19-year-old was not named in Celtic’s initial squad for the tie.

The manager has named a team for what looks to be a 4-3-3 formation, with Vasilis Barkas in goal and a back four of Greg Taylor, Stephen Welsh, nir Bitton and Anthony Ralston.

Ismaila Soro, captain Callum McGregor and David Turnbull are in midfield. Ryan Christie and Abada play in support of centre froward Odsonne Edouard.

Scott Bain, Conor Hazard, Leigh Griffiths, Albian Ajeti, Tom Rogic, Boli Bolingoli, Osaze Urhoghide, Liam Shaw, Dane Murray, James Forrest, Ewan Henderson and Adam Montgomery are all on the substitute’s bench.
