Aberdeen have signed attacker Marley Watkins to add to manager Stephen Glass’ attacking options.
Watkins has signed a two-year deal with the Dons, having left Cardiff City at the end of his short-term deal.
The 30-year-old enjoyed mixed fortunes during a loan spell at Pittodrie last season, impressing during his 13 appearance but suffering a long-term injury that cut his stay short.
Dons boss Glass said that other clubs had been pushing to sign the Wales international and that he was happy to have persuaded him to play his football in the north east.
“I’m delighted Marley has chosen to return to the club,” Glass told the Aberdeen website.
“In his previous spell at Aberdeen his influence on the team was enormous and we are looking forward to having him back in a red jersey. I expect the fans will be delighted to see him back with the club.
“We have beaten off a lot of competition for him and I am sure he will enjoy a great reception upon his return to Pittodrie.”
