Aberdeen have been handed a boost with the return of goalkeeper Dimitar Mitov to training ahead of the Boxing Day fixture against Kilmarnock.
The Dons number one injured his hamstring in the draw at Hearts earlier this month, with the Pittodrie club stating he could be out for up to six weeks.
Ross Doohan has been deputising for the Bulgaria international but boss Jimmy Thelin may have a decision to make when Aberdeen travel to Rugby Park looking for their first win in seven William Hill Premiership games.
Thelin, whose side dropped to third place in the table behind Celtic and Rangers after losing 3-1 at home to Hibernian, said: “Dimi will train fully today. So at least he will be available.
“Otherwise nothing new team news wise. Everybody is ready to train and play.
“We have watched the Hibs game back and as I said at the time we did some good things, we created some really good chances and we were stable in periods and then some parts we didn’t do so well.
“We have to keep improving. I said at the start of the season we know where we want to go and how we want to look in the future.
“There is a lot of work to do and we are still working on that process.”
