Aberdeen have added to their squad ahead of the new league season with the signing of Hayden Coulson.
The 24-year-old left-back has moved to Pittodrie on a season-long loan from Middlesbrough.
Coulson, who had a spell at St Mirren on loan during Alan Stubbs’ unsuccessful time in charge in Paisley, has made 49 appearances for Middlesbrough and has also has loan stints at Cambridge, Ipwich and Peterborough.
He becomes the latest part of Aberdeen manager Jim Goodwin’s summer rebuild in the north east as he aims to revive the team’s fortunes .
“Hayden fits the profile of full-back we’ve been looking to recruit,” Goodwin said. “He’s athletic, attack-minded and has gained some valuable experience at a high level having played almost 50 games in the English Championship for Middlesbrough.”
