Aberdeen’s summer rebuild is underway with reports from Albania stating international midfielder Ylber Ramadani has agreed a deal to join Jim Goodwin’s Dons.
The 26-year-old has played 17 times for the Albanian national side and expected to undergo a medical ahead of agreeing a two-year deal in Tirana today as Albania prepare to play their Nations League games.
Ramadani, who was born in Germany and represented Kosovo at youth level, currently turns out for Hungarian top-flight side MTK Budapest
It’s not the only bit of good news for Aberdeen after yesterday’s win for Nottingham Forest in the English Championship play-off final at Wembley, former Dons defender Scott McKenna’s promotion will earn his old club a £1m windfall.
The clause was written into the contract when Scotland regular McKenna was sold to Forest for a club-record fee of £3m two years ago.
The 25-year-old won the man of the match award after helping Forest back into the top-level of English football after a 23-year break.
