Andy Murray has defeated Rafael Nadal in the pair’s first match since 2016.
The Scotsman won straight sets 6-3 and 7-5 on Friday to reach the final of the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi.
Murray will now play Russian Andrey Rublev on Saturday.
The 34-year-old double Wimbledon and Olympic Gold winner will be hoping the exhibition tournament stands him in good stead ahead of the Australian Open in January.
Nadal will play Shapovalov in the 3rd place playoff match.
