SNS GroupTalks have taken place between Celtic and Rangers over a potential return of away fans to future Old Firm games.
The last two derbies this season have been played in front of home fans only after the clubs failed to agree on a suitable number of travelling supporters.
Rangers initially cut the number of Celtic fans allowed at Ibrox from around 8,000 to 700 in 2018 and there has been a war of words between the clubs ever since.
Earlier this season the Hoops refused the 700 tickets and no tickets were offered to the Ibrox club for the game at Celtic Park on December 30.
Discussions are now taking place in the hope of having away fans at the next time the teams meet, which will be at Ibrox on April 6, and the following game that will take place in Parkhead after the split.
However, STV understands that Celtic will still refuse 700 tickets if offered for Ibrox over safety concerns.
They would prefer for a return to the pre-2018 allocations of around 8,000 for each stadium.
The Hoops have won both Old Firm games season with a 1-0 win at Ibrox in September and 2-1 at Celtic Park just before the new year.
