Ange Postecoglou is set to become manager of Tottenham Hotspur, STV understands.
The Australian is to be unveiled as the North London club’s boss having led the Parkhead club to their eighth treble with victory over Inverness Caledonian Thistle in Saturday’s Scottish Cup final.
The 57-year-old informed Celtic he would like the opportunity to speak to Spurs – who are searching for a permanent replacement for Antonio Conte – following that game.
That was green-lit on Monday, with the Hoops already planning for his successor after back-to-back league titles.
Postecoglou won five of six available trophies in his two years in Glasgow after arriving from Yokohama F Marinos in 2021.
He may be tasked with a similar rebuild at Spurs, who failed to qualify for Europe next season and could lose star player Harry Kane to Real Madrid in the summer.
Assistant John Kennedy is also wanted by the Premier League side having served as number two to Postecoglou since his arrival in Scotland.
