Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has been named as the Scottish Premiership Glen’s Manager of the Month for March.
The Australian has been recognised for leading his side to victories over St Mirren, Ross County and Livingston last month, scoring nine goals and only conceding one across three league games.
The award means Postecoglou has won the award four times overall this season but has been named as the league’s top manager in three consecutive months in 2022.
Postecoglou said: “It’s nice to receive this award so quickly again but is testament to our whole group, and of course the consistency and commitment they have shown – and by the whole group, I mean everyone at the club, players, all staff and my backroom team who have all worked so hard to deliver such positive results and performances.
“It goes without saying that our fans have also played a key role in delivering this consistency through the magnificent support we have received throughout.”
Colin Matthews, chief executive of award sponsor Glen’s Vodka said: “Celtic’s form since the beginning of this year has been hugely impressive, with 10 wins and just the one draw in their 11 Premiership matches, and there is no doubt Ange Postecoglou and his coaching staff will be delighted to be going into the International break three points ahead at the top of the table.
“They are scoring goals freely, as well as winning matches at grounds where they have had a poor record in recent times, as the win at Livingston highlights, so there is no doubt that Ange Postecoglou is a worthy winner of the Glen’s Manager of the Month award for March.
“A hat-trick of monthly awards is rare in this competition, but it does highlight the run of form Celtic are having at the moment as well as the continued positive impact Ange Postecoglou is having at Celtic Park, and so for the fourth time this season, congratulations to him and his team.”
