Celtic defender Gustaf Lagerbielke has joined FC Twente on a season-long loan.
The Eredivisie side confirmed the signing of the Sweden international on Tuesday.
Lagerbielke joined the Scottish champions from Elfsborg last summer but has failed to secure a place in Brendan Rodgers’ starting team.
He has recently found himself behind the likes of Cameron Carter-Vickers, Liam Scales, Stephen Welsh and Maik Nawrocki in the Parkhead pecking order.
The 24-year-old only made ten first-team appearances for the Hoops last season.
He helped them keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 win at Ibrox and scored a late winner in the 2-1 Champions League victory over Feyenoord.
That group stage triumph over the Dutch champions was Celtic’s first non-qualifier victory in Europe’s premier competition since the 3-0 win over Anderlecht in 2017.
He was sent off in his only other appearance in the Champions League when they fell to a 2-0 defeat in Rotterdam.
