Celtic dropped more points in the title race as they drew 1-1 at home with St Johnstone – increasing the pressure on manager Neil Lennon.
Chris Kane gave the away side the lead on 79 minutes before Mohamed Elyounoussi scored a header seven minutes from time.
But the home side, under pressure after a run of poor form, failed to get a winner and dropped 13 points behind rivals Rangers.
Lennon’s men have two games in hand but have won just two of their last 12, failing to win in their last five home matches.
The champions have struggled so far this season and once again looked blunt in the final third at Parkhead.
Celtic have so far stood by Lennon despite growing pressure from supporters for a change in the dugout. There were angry scenes at Celtic Park following last weekend’s League Cup exit.
Police warned fans not to attend planned demonstrations this weekend but a number of fans still gathered in protest.
There was a significant police presence as supporters congregated and made their anger at performances known.
The result comes after Rangers emerged 4-0 winners against Ross County in their clash in Dingwall on Sunday afternoon.
