SNS GroupCeltic are in talks with Sevilla over the transfer of striker Kelechi Iheanacho on loan until the end of the season.
It is understood that the loan deal for Iheanacho, who previously worked under Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City, would come with an option to buy.
The 28-year-old signed on at Sevilla last summer as a free agent, having played a total of 232 games for Leicester, notching 61 goals and 34 assists up until the 2023/24 season.
He also made 64 appearances for Manchester City, having played in the English club’s youth team, scoring 21 goals and providing seven assists over two seasons.
Iheanacho is a Nigeria international, gaining 57 caps and scoring 15 goals for his country.
The news comes after Celtic announced that winger Luis Palma has left to join Olympiacos F.C. on loan until the end of the season.
