Celtic are edging closer to a deal for Real Oviedo winger Haissem Hassan.
The Parkhead club have bid an initial offer in the region of £6 million, with add-ons taking the deal closer to £10 million.
No agreement has been reached between the two clubs yet, but there is a confidence from sources close to Celtic that a deal can be agreed.
The Scottish champions have been locked in talks with the Spanish club for a number of weeks after Hassan impressed for Egypt at the World Cup.
The 24-year-old made 38 appearances for Real Oviedo last season, contributing three assists from his preferred position on the right wing.
Hassan would become Celtic’s third summer signing, following Camilo Duran and club-record arrival Kasper Høgh.
Celtic manager Martin O’Neill has spoken of his desire to bring in new players ahead of their Champions League qualifier against Austrian champions LASK.
