Celtic stars visit famous Glasgow landmarks to carry out festive good deeds in the club’s new Christmas advert.

Top first team players including Jota, Kyogo Furuhashi and Joe Hart all took part in the video that was released on Friday.

Captain Callum McGregor, James Forrest, Matt O’Riley and Celtic Women stars Jacynta Galabadaarachchi and Shen Mengyu also play starring roles in the two-minute movie.

The Barrowlands, Celtic Park, Glasgow Green and Lennoxtown all provide the backdrop to the video that is sure to add some festive cheer to supporters.

The club’s annual Christmas adverts have become a fans favourite and this year’s also promotes the Celtic Foundation charity appeal.

Jota and O’Riley turn heads at a Glasgow coffee shop when they help two thankful supporters wrap their Christmas presents before Joe Hart rescues a falling gift when it is blown off a pile being taken into Celtic Park.

Jacynta and Mengyu join Scotland Women’s team star Kelly Clark to help a man who is standing at a cold bus stop by greeting him with a hat, jacket and gloves.

McGregor and Forrest then stop their taxi to give a woman a lift after seeing her struggle with balloons and bags at the Barrowland Ballroom before Kyogo struggles to join in with Giorgos Giakoumakis and Carl Starfelt carrying Christmas trees at Lennoxtown as it is too high for him to reach.

All the squad then head to a Christmas party with games and music as Josip Juranovic and McGregor take on DJ duties and Daizen Maeda joins in with a game of pass the parcel.

Manager Ange Postecoglou then issues a festive message and promote the Celtic Foundation campaign saying: “This year when you share the magic, you are helping others too.

“From all of us at Celtic and the Celtic FC Foundation we wish you a Merry Christmas.”

In October the Celtic FC Foundation donated £400,000 to help people throughout Scotland’s poorest areas cope with the cost-of-living crisis.
