Celtic striker Daizen Maeda is on the verge of completing a £10m move to English Premier League newcomers Ipswich Town, STV Sport understands.
The Hoops have agreed a deal to sell the Japanese international to the newly-promoted side after the frontman’s World Cup campaign.
The 28-year-old arrived at Parkhead in January 2022 after impressing in his home nation’s top-flight.
He proved to be a mainstay under Ange Postecoglou and has helped fire the side to ten major honours, including five successive league titles.
It is now believed that Ipswich Town boss Gary O’Neil is looking to add Maeda’s firepower to the squad in an effort to keep the Tractor Boys in the English top-flight.
STV Sport understands that Celtic will receive £10m for the Japanese striker.
