Celtic are to travel to Poland to play in a tribute match for Artur Boruc this summer.
The goalkeeper’s current club Legia Warsaw have invited Ange Postecoglou’s to play in a special tribute match for the 42-year-old veteran.
The Polish goalkeeper became a Celtic favourite in a five-year spell in Glasgow, when he won three league titles, two League Cups and one Scottish Cup.
Boruc is in his second spell at Legia but also played for Bournemouth, Southampton and Fiorentina, as well as earning 65 caps for Poland.
Celtic captain Callum McGregor said that the club were happy to play a part in celebrating a player who had enjoyed success in Scotland.
“Artur is a huge character and was a massive part of Celtic for a number of years performing brilliantly for the club domestically and in Europe and he will always be so highly regarded by everyone here,” he said.
“We are looking forward to playing our part in this tribute to Artur, something he richly deserves after such a long and successful career covering Legia Warsaw, Celtic and a number of other clubs.”
