Lewis Morgan has agreed to join David Beckham’s MLS side Inter Miami.
STV understands the finer details of the winger’s move from Celtic to the newly formed club are being discussed, with the player expected to undergo a medical.
Subject to Morgan receiving a visa, he will travel to Miami to complete the move.
Celtic, who signed the 24-year-old from St Mirren for around £250,000 two years ago, will receive a substantial six figure sum for the transfer.
Former Parkhead boss Brendan Rodgers recruited Morgan after impressing in the Championship, but he was instantly loaned back to the Paisley club and then had a second loan spell out at Sunderland.
On his return to Celtic he failed to secure a regular starting slot but was used in some key games, including as a makeshift centre forward during Odsonne Edouard’s absence.
The Scotland international has made 31 appearances for Celtic, with 20 coming off the bench.
He’s scored twice for the Premiership champions this season, both coming in European ties against Rennes and AIK.
