Philippe Clement hasn’t ruled out John Souttar and Hamza Igamane both taking part in Sunday’s League Cup final.
The Rangers duo both had to be taken off during their side’s 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League on Thursday.
Scotland defender Souttar only lasted half an hour of the game at Ibrox before being replaced by Leon Balogun in the first-half.
Moroccan forward Igamane continued his recent hot-streak with another goal but was substituted for Cyriel Dessers in the second-half.
With the Hampden showpiece against Celtic on the horizon, the manager wouldn’t commit to ruling them out or in.
Speaking to the media on Friday, Clement said: “I wish I could give you an update, but for now I can’t say definitive things with regards to this weekend or the state of the injuries because we haven’t had a full assessment yet.
I first need to get the assessment of the doctor, and that’s not clear for the moment, so I cannot say anything about that.”
Souttar would be the biggest doubt of the two, but Clement insists the defender will “do everything he can” to take part.
He said: “I know that John would do everything to play that game.
“He’s very, very motivated always for that and for the club and about winning trophies so I know he will give his best, but it needs to be, of course, something that is possible.”
Rangers arrive at Hampden in their best form of the season after four wins and a draw from their last five games and the manager is confident they can take the game to Celtic.
He said: “The team feels like they are making steps in every sense and it’s now all about doing that again on Sunday, it’s now all about recovery and then to pick the right squad to get some fresh legs in the team.
“If we play our football against Celtic then it will be a really good clash between two good teams.”
Clement will be able to call upon the services of Brazil striker Danilo and Romania international Ianis Hagi, who are not in the European squad.
Rabbi Matondo is in full training, while Tom Lawrence is working his way back to fitness and Neraysho Kasanwirjo (knee) remains sidelined.
