The dates and kick-off times for this season’s League Cup semi-finals have been announced as the four remaining teams look to take another step towards lifting the first trophy of the season.

Both games will be played at Hampden on the first weekend in November with one on the Saturday and one on the Sunday.

First up will be Celtic vs Aberdeen on Saturday, November 2, with a kick-off time of 5.30pm as both of the Premiership’s unbeaten sides come up against each other at the national stadium.

Cup holders Rangers will play Motherwell the following day with a kick-off time of 3pm on Sunday, November 3.

Celtic reached the last four after coming from behind twice to beat Falkirk 5-2 at Parkhead and keep up their perfect start to the season in all competitions.

Aberdeen beat Spartans 4-0 to continue their 100% winning start under new manager Jimmy Thelin.

Rangers, who won the competition last season, beat Dundee 3-0 on their return to Ibrox thanks to a Cyriel Dessers double and a James Tavernier penalty.

Meanwhile, Motherwell booked themselves a place in the semis with a 2-1 win over Dundee United on Friday night.

All four remaining sides will be hoping to return to Hampden for the final that will be held on December 15.
