English Championship player Demetri Mitchell has moved to Hibernian in a two-and-a-half-year deal that will run until summer 2024.
The Blackpool winger made his senior debut in English Premier League with Manchester United in 2017 and was named their Denzil Haroun Reserve Player of the Year in 2018.
The 25-year-old joins Shaun Maloney’s side as they plan for a future without attacker Martin Boyle who signed a lucrative deal with Saudi team Al-Faisaly.
Hibs said they were delighted to announce Mitchell had joined after he completed loan spells in the Scottish Premiership before a permanent switch to Blackpool, where he helped them achieve promotion to the second-tier of English football.
Maloney said: “I’m delighted to sign Demetri. He brings excellent attributes in different positions and will help us in both attacking and defensive situations.
“As a player, he brings real technical quality and outstanding speed, particularly in one vs one situations. My staff and I look forward to working with him.”
