Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou labelled the 3-0 win over Rangers as a highlight of his career in football to date.
The Australian watched his side go top of the Premiership in style as they brushed aside the champions at Celtic Park thanks to three first half goals.
Postecoglou said it’s a night he’ll always remember.
He said: “I’ve had some special experiences in my football career but tonight was right up there. The wall of noise and energy was outstanding and I wanted to repay that.
“The players fed off the energy and rose to the occasion. They gave the fans the kind of performance their support deserves.”
Rangers manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst could not believe how badly his team played in the first half.
“The first half we gave the game away,” he told Sky Sports. “For sure it wasn’t something I expected, when I saw the training we had, how focused we were before the game.
“But when the game started, we were just waiting for a goal to be scored. For me that’s impossible.
“We were too naive and we deserved to be 3-0 down the way we played.”
