Don Robertson has been appointed to referee Thursday’s William Hill Premiership encounter between Rangers and Celtic.
Robertson will take charge of his third Old Firm fixture between the teams.
His first came as a late replacement for the injured Willie Collum in the 2023 Scottish Cup semi-finals.
Celtic won 1-0 thanks to Jota’s header after Robertson stepped up from his role as fourth official during the warm-up.
Robertson then took charge of the two teams’ first meeting last season at Ibrox. Celtic won 1-0 thanks to a Kyogo Furuhashi goal but there was controversy after Rangers had an opening goal disallowed.
Robertson ultimately ruled out Kemar Roofe’s goal following a VAR review, after video assistant Alan Muir flagged up Cyriel Dessers’ challenge on Gustaf Lagerbielke.
Nick Walsh will head the VAR team for the New Year derby at Ibrox.
