A Scottish League Two manager has been suspended pending an ongoing investigation.
Elgin City, who finished sixth in the fourth tier, has confirmed that Allan Hale has been temporarily removed from his position.
Hale was appointed, along with his assistant Stefan Laird, on December 5, 2023, in a bid to save the black and whites from relegation.
This season, the club narrowly missed out on the League One promotion play-off spots.
A statement from the Moray side said: “Elgin City Football Club can confirm that the 1st team manager has been suspended from his duties with immediate effect, pending an ongoing investigation.
“The club will make no further comment until the investigation has concluded.”
The nature of the investigation is not yet known.
