Four Premiership clubs will have the chance to reach the first cup final of the season this weekend.
Both of the Old Firm will be battling it out for a place in the last two of the League Cup alongside the holders and Hibernian.
Last season’s winners St Johnstone will take on former champions Celtic on Saturday and Rangers will play the Easter Road club on Sunday with both games at Hampden.
Giovanni Van Bronckhorst will get his first taste of action since his return to Glasgow as the Ibrox side look to end their decade long wait without winning a cup competition.
However the former Dutch international will be watching from the stands with the interim management team tasked with leading the side out.
And Ange Postecoglou will have his first game at Hampden as Celtic manager as the Parkhead men look to get back to trophy winning ways after finishing last season empty handed.
Meanwhile St Johnstone are looking to make it three cups in a row after taking both domestic trophies back to Perth in 2021 and last season’s Scottish Cup finalists Hibernian will be hoping to reach their first League Cup final since the 2015/16 season.
Celtic vs St Johnstone kick-off at 5.15pm on Saturday and Rangers vs Hibs kick-off at 4pm on Sunday.
