Celtic clinched their 53rd top flight title with a win over Hearts on Sunday that secured their place as champions of Scotland for another season.
It is their second in a row, eleventh from the last 12 and 17th since the turn of the millennium 23 years ago.
But with four league games still to go as well as a Scottish Cup final in June, Ange Postecoglou’s men won’t be putting their feet up just yet as they eye five potential new club, national and world records before the end of the season.
The Hoops have been relentless all season as they steamrolled their way to the Premiership summit.
With only one defeat and two draws from their 34 games so far, a League Cup already in the bag and a Hampden final against Inverness Caledonian Thistle still to come it could be a record-breaking season for Glasgow’s green and white.
Points tally
Celtic are currently on 95 points in the league with 12 still to play for with games against Rangers, St Mirren, Hibs and Aberdeen still to come.
If they win all four then they will reach 107 points for the season and overtake the current Scottish record of 106 set by Brendan Rodgers’ invincible treble side in 2017.
Goals scored
With the title rubber stamped they can also start to look towards setting a new club record for goals scored in a league season.
They have found the net 105 times already, meaning they are only two goals away from beating their own modern day Scottish record of 106 set six years ago.
Another six goals from their last four games will see them match the 111 goals scored by Jock Stein’s all conquering Lisbon Lions side in the 1966/67 campaign.
They will need another 12 goals, averaging at three a game, to beat the 107 year old club record of the 116 goals scored in the 1916 league winning season.
But they are still a bit away from the league record of 132 set by Hearts in their title winning season of 1958.
The Hoops would need to average more than six goals a game in their remaining Premiership fixtures to get the 28 goals needed to surpass that 65 year record.
And they are still another 61 goals from equalling their own world record of 196 goals in a season across all competitions they set in their European Cup winning campaign in 1967.
Scottish Cup wins
Celtic haven’t won the Scottish Cup cup in two seasons so they will be keen to get their hands on the world’s oldest trophy at Hampden next month.
Their 2020 triumph, which sealed a world record quadruple treble, was their 40th victory in the 149 year-old tournament.
No team has won it as many times as the Hoops, meaning if they get past the final hurdle against Championship side Inverness they will set a new record of 41.
Domestic trebles
A win over Billy Dodds’ side on June 3 will also see them clinch a historic eighth clean sweep and go ahead of city rivals Rangers.
Glasgow’s big two have both won seven domestic trebles over the years, a jointly held world record.
Postecoglou’s side will be huge favourites against the Highlanders, who are aiming to the first lower league to win the trophy since Hibs in 2016.
No other team has won their League Cup, League title and main domestic cup competition in the same season eight times.
Most wins in the league in a season
They will also have their eyes on surpassing another one of their league records, that was again set by the Rodgers side six years ago.
The former Liverpool and Leicester City manager won 34 league games in his first season at Celtic Park and Postecoglou’s current group are on 31 with four games remaining.
If they win all four of their remaining fixtures, starting with Rangers at Ibrox next week, then they will reach 35 league wins for the season and set a new national record in the process.
