Auchinleck Talbot to host Celtic at Rugby Park after venue changed for cup clash

Auchinleck Talbot will host Celtic at Rugby Park after the venue for the Scottish Cup clash was changed.

The West of Scotland lowland league side were drawn against the Premiership champions in the fourth round of the competition.

With Talbot coming out of the hat first, the game was originally set to be held at Beechwood Park, but will now take place at the home of fellow Ayrshire side Kilmarnock FC.

The decision for this match to be relocated away from Auchinleck’s Beechwood Park was taken following a request from Auchinleck Talbot who had received advice from Police Scotland.

It was also revealed on Friday that the game will be shown live on Premier Sport with a 5.30pm kick-off on Sunday, January 18.

Other games chosen for live coverage are Rangers v Annan, Dunfermline v Hibernian, Hearts v Falkirk and Aberdeen v Raith Rovers.
