Celtic are close to signing Everton defender Jonjoe Kenny on loan until the end of the season.
Neil Lennon moved for the right-back after the club sold Jeremie Frimpong to Bayer Leverkusen.
The 23-year-old has made 48 appearances for Everton and spent last season as a regular on loan with Schalke.
Kenny has also played for England at every level except the senior side, including 16 appearances for the under 21s.
Lennon said he was excited about adding the full-back to his squad.
“He’s a player I have liked for a while,” he said. “He is at Everton obviously and had a very good career at England youth at under-21 level and I watched quite a bit of him last season when he was on loan at Schalke.
“I like his qualities, his enthusiasm for the game, his character and I think he will bring that to the team.
“He is a bubbly sort of personality and he plays that way as well. He is ready to start and itching to play as well.”
