Celtic fans have paid tribute to Jackie McNamara as the former club captain recovers from a brain bleed in hospital.
The banner reading “Keep the faith Jackie” was unveiled in the section of Celtic park that houses the Green Brigade during Wednesday’s Premiership clash with Hearts.
McNamara, who spent ten years at Celtic, collapsed at his home in York at the weekend and was admitted to Hull Royal Infirmary on Sunday night before undergoing surgery.
Friends of the 46-year-old say he is now “sitting up and talking”.
A host of Celtic legends and former team mates of Jackie, including Henrik Larsson and Chris Sutton, have been paying tribute and sending their best wishes to the former right-back.
