Former Dundee United manager Micky Mellon has rejoined Tranmere Rovers following his Tannadice departure.
Mellon, whose United team finished ninth in the Scottish Premiership last season, previously spent four years with Tranmere before joining the Arabs in 2020.
He will now return to Merseyside to join the English League Two side.
The 49-year-old, from Paisley, also spent five years as a player at Tranmere during a career spent down south.
His time at Dundee United is the only time in his career that he has played or coached in Scotland.
Tranmere, who were relegated in 2020, face another year in England’s fourth tier after losing a play-off tie to Morcambe earlier this month.
During his last spell in charge, Mellon took them from non-league football to League One after back-to-back promotions.
However they were relegated again in his last year, following a league campaign cut short by the Covid-19 outbreak.
