Heart of Midlothian Football Club has posted a loss of £400,000 in their annual financial accounts, despite a record turnover of over £20m.
The figures for the year ending June 2025 followed a disappointing season, with the club sacking two different managers and finishing in the bottom half of the Premiership.
However, they also competed in the league phase of the Europa Conference League and had a player trading profit of over £1m.
Their turnover of £24.4m represents a 21% increase on the previous year.
Tony Bloom paid just under £10m to acquire a 29% stake in the club in the summer, with the deal concluded on June 25, however, Hearts say this is not reflected in the profit/loss figures shown in the income statement.
A statement from the club also reveals that “income was further bolstered by total donations from benefactors and the Foundation of Hearts of just under £6m”.
The accounts have been published ahead of next month’s AGM.
Hearts currently sit top of the Premiership after an unbeaten league start, including victories over Celtic and Rangers, under new head coach Derek McInnes.
