Hearts boss Derek McInnes has been named Glen’s Premiership Manager of the Month for the third consecutive month.
The Tynecastle club kept up their undefeated start and ended October eight points ahead of second-placed Celtic at the top of the table.
They defeated the Hoops in Edinburgh as well as also taking all three points from the Edinburgh Derby at the start of the month.
A win over Kilmarnock was also added, as well as a draw with St Mirren in Paisley to make it ten points from a possible 12.
McInnes was announced as the Glen’s Manager of the Month for October on Friday.
He said: “Any award, be it individually or collectively, is great for the club. It’s reflective of the hard work that everybody puts in, so to be recognised for it is pleasing.
“We’ve had a brilliant first round of fixtures and now the focus is on the next round and trying to keep progressing.”
Colin Matthews, CEO of Glen’s owner the Loch Lomond Group, said: “Derek McInnes continues to impress in the top flight of Scottish football. Under his commendable leadership, Hearts delivered an unwavering performance in October to help widen the gap at the top of the table, making him the worthy recipient of his third Glen’s Manager of the Month award this season.
“My congratulations once again go to Derek and everyone involved at Tynecastle for yet another impressive set of results.”
