Hibernian and Dundee have agreed a compensation fee for Josh Mulligan.

The 23-year-old midfielder made the move from Dens Park to Easter Road in the summer after his contract had expired.

The Premiership clubs confirmed on Thursday that a financial compensation package has now been agreed.

The terms of the settlement agreement will remain undisclosed.

Mulligan has been a mainstay in the Hibs team this season, and his performances have also led to his first call-up to the Scotland National Team.

Hibs sporting director Malky Mackay said: “Josh is an exciting young Scottish talent and we have been pleased with his development since his arrival this summer.

“We look forward to seeing continued progression in his game.

“We would also like to thank Dundee for the amicable negotiations and agreed outcome.”

A statement from Dundee said: “Both clubs have worked constructively to reach a settlement that reflects the considerable investment – in time and in coach development – that Dundee has made to help Josh establish himself in the Scottish Premiership.

“Whilst the terms of the agreement remain confidential, both sides are satisfied with the outcome.”
