New Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou will face a Premiership baptism of fire with trips to both Tynecastle and Ibrox in the first month of the season.
The Hoops open their season with an 8pm kick-off against Hearts in Edinburgh on July 31 before playing their Glasgow rivals three weeks later, with the Australian hoping they will hit the ground running in their quest to regain the title.
Champions Rangers will begin their defence of the trophy at home to Livingston on the day the league flag will be unfurled at Ibrox for the first time in a decade.
Steven Gerrard will be looking to take his form from last season, when they won the league unbeaten, into this with two in a row now the target.
It is not yet clear how many fans, if any, will be allowed to attend any of the opening games.
The SPFL revealed the fixture list for the season ahead on Tuesday.
Dundee, who joined Hearts in Premiership promotion following a play-off win over Kilmarnock, will open their campaign against St Mirren at Dens Park and double cup winners St Johnstone will travel to Ross County to make up the four games on the opening day.
Then on Sunday, August 1, Aberdeen will host Dundee United and Motherwell will play Hibernian at Fir Park in their respective first games.
The big Glasgow two will then meet for the first Old Firm game of the season at Ibrox on August 28 with the first Edinburgh derby taking place at Tynecastle on September 11.
Dundee United will then host their city rivals Dundee the following week of September 18.
