Scotland will play Brazil, Morocco and Haiti at the 2026 World Cup after being put into Group C.

The draw for the tournament being held across North America next summer took place in Washington DC on Friday afternoon.

The Group C games will be played across Foxborough, East Rutherford, Philadelphia, Miami Gardens and Atlanta, with Scotland taking on Haiti in the first game.

It is a near repeat of the draw the last time Scotland reached a World Cup, when they lost 2-1 to Brazil and 3-0 to Morocco.

It will be the first time the national team have been at the ‘greatest show on earth’ since France 1998.

Steve Clarke’s side secured qualification with a 4-2 win over Denmark at Hampden last month.

Goals from Scott McTominay, Lawrence Shankland, Kieran Tierney and Kenny McLean cemented a place as one of the group winners.

The World Cup kicks off in Mexico City on June 11, and will return until July 19 when the final takes place in New York.

Mexico will play South Africa in the opening game.
