Gary Bowyer has urged his Dundee squad to keep their focus ahead of their Championship final game decider against Queen’s Park.
It’s first against second at Ochilview on Friday night with the winners guaranteed promotion to the Premiership next season.
The Dens Park side are currently in pole position for the league trophy and know a draw against the Spiders would be enough to complete their ambitions to return to the top-flight.
Bowyer knows Premiership football is what everyone connected with the club “strive for” a year after their relegation.
And speaking ahead of the game in Stenhousemuir, where Queen’s Park have been playing their home games while Lesser Hampden is under reconstruction, he said: “This is what everybody wants to strive for, of course.
“And the supporters have been great all season with us and they will be wanting no different from what the players, the staff and everybody connected to the club want.
“But we’ve got to remain focused on what our job is”
All ten of the Championship clubs are in action on Friday, with only mid-table Raith Rovers guaranteed still to be in the league next season.
The top two are fighting it out for straight promotion, while the top six are all in contention for the three playoff places.
Any two from the of the bottom three could be relegated to League One with the side in tenth going straight down and the team that finishes second bottom facing a playoff against a third tier club.
