Full-back George Harmon wants Ross County to summon the character they showed after going down to 10 men in midweek as they bid to bounce back from double defeat to Aberdeen.

County followed up a 4-0 cinch Premiership loss at Pittodrie on Sunday with a 2-1 Viaplay Cup exit at the hands of the Dons, after having Jack Baldwin sent off early on.

They have no time to dwell on their defeat though, with Hearts visiting Dingwall on league duty on Saturday.

Harmon said in a club video: “It feels a little bit like a missed opportunity.

“We had the chance to get to a semi-final, go to Hampden, but on the other hand when you go down to 10 men early on, we showed good fight and character to battle to the end and we could have nicked it.

“We have shown this season we can fight back from difficult moments and hopefully we can turn it round on Saturday.

“The games come thick and fast in this league, playing three games in a week.

“We need to sure we recover right and do our work on Hearts. We are expecting them to be a good technical side and we just need to make sure we are ready for the challenge.”
