Celtic will welcome Giorgos Giakoumakis back to their squad for the trip to Ross County after the striker made a full recovery from the injury that caused him to miss the Scottish Cup semi-final.
The Greek striker suffered a hamstring injury in his side’s 7-0 win over St Johnstone and was forced to watch on from the sidelines as Celtic to Rangers at Hampden on Sunday.
Giakoumakis has now recovered and is fit to play his part in the title run-in as Celtic look to win the Premiership trophy.
Manager Ange Postecoglou revealed that the player had been back in the first team picture at training and in good shape.
“He’ll be available,” Postecoglou said. “He trained early in the week and re-integrated into the squad and did the last couple of sessions fully.”
Josip Juranovic will miss the Ross County game and the Premiership clash with Rangers at Celtic Park. The full-back picked up his injury during the cup semi-final last weekend and is set for a period of recovery.
Postecoglou said that some other had suffered knocks during the game but would be ready to play on Sunday.
“Josip Juranovic is the most significant one, he will miss the weekend,” the manager said. “It’s hard to say, the injury hasn’t settled down yet, but it’s fair to say (he will be out for) at least a couple of weeks.
“After that we are just going to have to see how it goes.
“The others, who went off with a combination of cramp and some knocks, all should be fine for Sunday.”
