Hamilton Accies are close to signing defender Sam Woods on loan from Crystal Palace.
The 21-year old centre-back has been on the fringes of the first team at Selhurst Park but is now nearing a move to the Premiership for the second half of the season.
Woods would come in as a replacement for Sam Stubbs, who was recalled by Middlesbrough before being loaned out to ADO Den Haag.
Accies also expect Luke Southwood to return to the club before the transfer window closes.
Southwood spent the first half of the season at the club on loan from Reading, starting eight games, but returned to his parent club at the start of January.
The goalkeeper is now likely to head back to Accies for the remainder of the season.
