Hearts have announced that forward Pierre Landry Kabore has signed a three-year contract after joining the club from JK Nava Trans.

The 24-year-old moves after a lengthy wait for a visa, and will now go straight into Derek McInnes’ squad, with Hearts delighted to add a player who has been a prolific scorer in Estonia.

Kabore has found the net 22 times in 20 games this season, with 33 goals and ten assists from 51 games since joining the club in January of last year.

The versatile forward, who can play on the wing or as a central striker, previous played in his homeland and Ivory Coast, earned his first cap for Burkina Faso earlier this year.

“It’s obviously taken a bit longer than we’d have liked to get Landry in but he’s here now and I’m pleased to get it done,” Hearts head coach McInnes said.

“His stats over the past couple of seasons speak for themselves so we’re hoping he’ll bring something a bit different to what we’ve currently got in our forward areas.

“He’s a big, mobile guy and very adaptable in that he can play across the front, so that versatility is a big plus.

“Scotland will be a new culture for him so we’ll show patience in terms of getting him up to speed but he’s shown he can integrate quickly from his time Estonia and we’ll do everything we can to make Landry a success at Hearts.”
