Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson and Dundee manager James McPake have both been charged with misconduct after being sent to the stand during their sides’ Premiership matches last weekend.

Neilson was dismissed from his technical area by referee Don Robertson after he reacted to a clash between Rangers’ Juninho Bacuna and his player Stephen Kingsley as Hearts took a 1-1 draw at Ibrox.

The Hearts boss felt Bacuna should have been sent off for grabbing Kingsley by the throat and was shown a yellow, then a red card for his repeated complaints.

Neilson, who said post-match that teams like his don’t get decisions at Ibrox, can now decide whether to accept a one-match suspension or argue his case at a Scottish FA disciplinary tribunal.

Dundee manager McPake was sent to the stand after an incident during his team’s 2-1 win over Aberdeen.

McPake was sent off after an incident that saw Aberdeen’s Jack Mackenzie appear to lash out at the opposition’s technical staff while trying to retrieve the ball.

Because the Dundee manager has already served a suspension for misconduct this season he is not offered a fixed suspension and will be called on to explain himself at a hearing on November 4.
