Teenage Hearts star Aaron Hickey is ready to leave Tynecastle in this transfer window, according to owner Ann Budge.
The 18-year-old full back has been the subject of enquiries from numerous clubs this summer, with European champions Bayern Munich and Italian Serie A club Bologna credited with strong interest.
Budge revealed that the first concrete offer for Hickey has now been received from an unnamed club.
She expects the player to move on before competitive action resumes in October.
The Hearts chairwoman said: “Two days ago I had the first offer for Aaron. I’ve gone back with various points so that’s still being discussed.
“But it is just an offer from one club – we haven’t had lots of people contacting us, as you might be forgiven for assuming based on all the headlines.
“I think it is likely that Aaron will go. To have that degree of interest in such a young man makes it likely he will go.
“We don’t want him to go and he knows that.
“We wanted him to stay but I think the attraction of some of the clubs who have been talking to him will be too great.”
