John McGlynn is excited about adding Lewis Neilson to his squad after the centre-back returned to Falkirk on a season-long loan from Hearts.
The 22-year-old had a stint with the Bairns on loan from previous club Dundee United in which he made 10 appearances in the closing months of the 2020-21 season.
Amid stiff competition for a centre-back berth at Hearts, Neilson has now been allowed to join Falkirk once again as they prepare to return to the William Hill Premiership this term.
“I’m delighted to get Lewis in,” manager McGlynn said. “He’s a player we’ve had our eye on for some time and he fits a lot of the credentials that we’re looking for.
“He’s gained a lot of experience for a player so young at 22 years of age, coming through at Dundee United and then moving on to Hearts, and loan deals with Falkirk, Partick Thistle and St Johnstone. He’s played a lot of games, particularly in the Premiership.
“He’s got a lot of football in front of him, he’s someone that I feel can make us better, and it’s a good opportunity for him to continue his development.”
