Christian Borchgrevink worked a one-two with James Wilson and set up Elton Kabangu to tap the ball in from close range.

However, Well asserted themselves and their equaliser came in the 29th minute when full-back Emmanuel Longelo, making his first start since signing from West Ham, produced a fine finish into the top corner.

Peterhead goalkeeper Jack Newman became increasingly busy albeit counterpart Connelly had to make a fine save from former Aberdeen player Cammy Smith just before the break to keep the tie level.
